Licensing & Updates · RKX API Studio 1.0.0
Installation or compatibility error
Confirm WordPress 6.8+, PHP 8.0+ for Free or 8.1+ for Pro, the correct edition ZIP and permission to install plugins. Pro needs active Free Core. Check upload-size limits, filesystem permissions and a conflicting older copy. Use a staging backup before replacing installed plugins.
Endpoint not found
Confirm the endpoint is saved, copy its exact API URL, check the method and namespace, and confirm the plugin is active. A Pro-only configuration is intentionally unavailable without Pro authorization. Check that the source type remains registered. If /wp-json/ itself fails, investigate WordPress REST routing and host rewrites.
Authentication failure
For Free, use X-RKX-API-Studio-Key; for Pro, check Bearer precedence and allowed-key selection. Verify that the proxy forwards Authorization and that the key has not been revoked or regenerated. Never log a real credential while debugging.
Empty array or missing field
Check for published, unpassworded source content, selected fields, page number, offset, taxonomy term IDs and the chosen parameter mode. Clear plugin and upstream caches. For ACF check field-group location rules and saved values. Preview samples do not guarantee that every item has the same field values.
Safe debugging
Reproduce on staging with minimal plugins and synthetic content. Enable WordPress logging only as needed, keep display_errors off on public pages and protect log access. Share version numbers, steps, response status and redacted errors with support. Remove temporary logs once the issue is resolved.
