Custom Namespaces

Create a namespace

Custom API namespaces require licensed Pro. Free uses rkx-api-studio/v1.

  1. Open RKX API Studio → Settings → API Namespaces.
  2. Add a valid namespace such as examples/v1 and save it.
  3. Return to the endpoint builder and select that namespace.

Verify the new URL

Save the endpoint and copy its actual URL. With examples/v1 selected and articles as the slug, the path becomes /wp-json/examples/v1/articles. Changing a namespace changes the URL your clients request.

Update clients safely

Test on staging and update consumers before removing a namespace or old route. Keep API-key protection configured. A namespace is a URL organization choice, not a substitute for authentication.
