Release an activation slot
Before moving a limited license, deactivate the old site from the WordPress license screen or Dashboard → Licenses → the license’s activation list. Then activate the destination installation. Activation is tied to the site URL and installation identifier; an unrelated installation cannot take over an active URL.
- Open the relevant license in Dashboard → Licenses or WordPress → RKX API Studio → License.
- Check the installation you intend to move.
- Deactivate that old site to release its slot.
- Activate the destination installation separately and verify its status.
- Move endpoint configuration through Tools; license deactivation does not migrate content or cancel billing.
Move configuration separately
Export and import endpoints with the Tools controls, then verify data sources and keys on the destination. A license move does not migrate content or configurations. Keep a backup before changing the domain or cloning a site; check the resulting activation state rather than repeatedly activating copies.
What happens when Pro is unavailable
Free endpoints continue to work independently. Configurations requiring Pro remain saved but fail closed instead of exposing weaker routes. Deactivation does not delete shared data. Pro uninstall preserves Core settings; Core normally preserves data unless its explicit deletion option and uninstall conditions permit removal.
