Requirements & Installation

Getting Started · RKX API Studio 1.0.0

#Requirements

Free 1.0.0 requires WordPress 6.8+ and PHP 8.0+. Pro 1.0.0 requires WordPress 6.8+, PHP 8.1+ and active Free Core 1.0.0 or later. Back up your site before installation or updates. You need permission to install plugins; hosting or Multisite policy may restrict this.

#Install Free

Use Download Free on the product page when the authorized package is available. In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the Free ZIP, select Install Now and activate. Free does not require an RKXBeta account or license. Directory installation becomes available only after the WordPress.org listing is approved and published.

  1. Check WordPress 6.8+ and PHP 8.0+ on your hosting environment.
  2. Use Download Free only when the authorized 1.0.0 package is available.
  3. In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and select the Free ZIP.
  4. Select Install Now, then Activate. Open RKX API Studio from the admin menu.

#Install Pro alongside Free

Sign in to your RKXBeta account and verify your email. Open My Plugins and download Pro when your account is entitled. Upload the Pro ZIP through WordPress and activate it alongside Free. Keep both plugins installed and active. Pro is an add-on, so do not replace Free with the Pro ZIP.

  1. Confirm PHP 8.1+ and keep Free active.
  2. Sign in to RKXBeta, verify your email and open My Plugins.
  3. Download an eligible Pro package, upload it in WordPress and activate it alongside Free.
  4. Open RKX API Studio → License and activate the license. Plugin activation and license activation are separate.

#Activate the license

Open RKX API Studio → License in WordPress. Copy your key from the customer dashboard, enter it and activate the site. Plugin activation alone does not authorize Pro features. If authorization fails, check the license state, activation allowance and outbound HTTPS access.
